Billy

My cat Billy made his journey to Rainbow Bridge nearly 20 years ago, even now I really miss him. When I moved away from home for the first time, to work in a boarding kennels and cattery, Billy came with me. During the 12 months we were there, he was able to play in green fields surrounding the kennels. He also used to enjoy sitting in the hay barn, even though he wasn't supposed to be in there :) Billy also lived with two lady cats who used to groom and pamper him, they were called Jemma and Burmese. You can see them sleeping with Billy in one of the photo's below. He also lived with a dog, not a little dog but a Great Dane called Shari, she was so gentle. Billy used to sleep on the same settee, not quite having a cuddle with Shari, but they were both happy in each others company. Although having said that, Billy wasn't always keen on Shari sniffing him :)

Back home, he also had a sweet girlfriend, although as you'll see from one of the photo's, they used to argue a little. Billy was such a friendly cat who loved to sit on your knee, even though he was a large cat. Most of the time he was friendly to other cats in the neighbourhood and didn't mind them coming into his garden. When Billy first came home to me, he was actually called Mindy, I thought he was a female until I took him to the vets to be spayed. What a shock to find Mindy was a male. Anyway, I soon recovered from the surprise and started calling him Billy.

Sadly Billy was only 4 years old when he was killed by car, it was one of the hardest times of my life when he left me. Billy will always have a special place in my heart. Here are some lovely photo's of my very special tabby cat.

Thank you so very much to my friend Merry for the wonderful drawing of Billy with my angel piggies, Molly and Primrose.
