I have some very good news to tell you! I'm so pleased and relieved to say that Jasmines lump was harmless! It was a inflamed Lipoma, a benign (non-cancerous) tumour. Also, Jasmine is doing very well after her operation and is now with her cage mates Jake and Sweetpea. If you'd like to know more about Jasmine's operation, visit December to March Diary Page

A few weeks ago Clover had the snuffles, but only for a few hours. Her nose was clear of discharge, but her nostrils were flaring, she was having trouble breathing through her nose. It started around teatime and my local vets was closed. As Clover was eating well and wasn't depressed at all, I thought I would take her to the vets first thing in the morning. I decided to put a couple of drops of Olbas Oil on a piece of tissue, above her cage, held on with a peg, out of reach. Anyway by 2am, Clover had stopped making the snuffle noises, I'm sure the Olbas Oil helped. I still took her along to the vets, as I'm always worried about URI (upper respiratory infection), thankfully Clovers lungs were clear. The vet decided to give her a five day course of Baytril antibiotic just in case and she's been fine ever since.

Our gorgeous bunny Fiver won 'Pet of the Month' at Birdboy's Place. Well done darling Fiver! many congratulations!!

July 14th 2004

Peachy celebrated her 3rd birthday last month and Squeekie and Jake celebrated their 2nd birthday on July 3rd. Its a very busy time for birthdays as Sweetpea will also be 2 years old on July 19th.

I'm so glad to say all my piggies are fine. Jake is putting on a little too much weight so he's been going mountain climbing every weekend and also running a few laps around the hall in preparation for the next London Marathon :). Fiver and Thumper our bunnies are very well. Fiver's teeth aren't causing him any problems.

Fiver and Thumper our bunnies celebrated their 2nd birthday this month. I can't believe they are two years old already, doesn’t time fly!. They are in good health and the piggies to, apart from little Sweetpea. Poor Sweetpea has had a urinary tract infection for over two weeks now. She is now on her second course of antibiotic. I really hope the antibiotic gets rid of the infection soon. Thankfully she's eating really well and has no sign of blood in her urine. If it doesn't clear up soon, I'll take her back to the vets. I'll let you know how she gets on, please keep your fingers crossed for my little Sweetpea.

I'm so pleased to say that Sweetpea has recovered from a urinary tract infection. I was getting very worried because she also developed blood in her urine, but after 3 weeks of antibiotic, Sweetpea has now been symptom free for nearly two weeks. I've also some other good news to tell you, one of my girls photo's is now going to be in the Guinea Lynx calendar. They will be October's calendar girls. I'm so chuffed that their photo was chosen, I hope the extra fame won't go to their heads :} Here is the winning photo.

I'm happy to say all my piggies are very well, although little Sweetpea had to go to the vets a few weeks ago because she had a poorly eye. Thankfully her eye has fully recovered. Poor Sweetpea had a hay seed in the corner of her eye, the vet managed to remove it. A little ointment placed on her eye each day and her eye was much better.
Our bunnies Fiver and Thumper are also in good health. I think Fiver is going through a very cheeky phase at the moment, he keeps trying to dig at the carpet when he thinks I'm not looking :)

I'm happy to say all my piggies are in good health and looking forward to Christmas. Fiver and Thumper our buns are also very well. Thumper had an upset tum a while ago, but he's much better now. It was the first time Thumper had ever been poorly, it was great to see him tuck into his food as normal and producing his mountain of poops :)

We'd like to wish all our visitors a very happy Christmas and a happy new year!
