Hammy belongs to my youngest daughter Jenna and was born 7th September 2005 and came to live with us at 9 weeks old.

Hammy is a sable banded Syrian hamster.
Personality
Hammy is an adorable little boy who isn't shy and he's a very inquisitive little hamster. He's very friendly, although he moves very quickly, so he's not handled for long periods at a time. Hammy is extra cute when he starts to wake up. He looks like Mr.Magoo with his eyes half shut, so this lovely expression has earned him the nickname Mr.Magoo.
Likes and Dislikes
Hammy loves to snuggle up in his bed, but when he's awake he adores going from the UK to Australia and back on his wheel. He loves his hamster mix and the occasional treat stick. Hammy also enjoys a nice piece of fresh carrot, broccoli is also a favourite. Hammy enjoys being petted and will take food out of your hand. He also adores his exercise ball and travels at around 50 mph around the living room and hall. Even bumping into furniture only stops him for a second, he just turns in another direction, ready to travel again. He loves his very expensive ice cream container that he uses for a cosy bed. He uses half to make a cosy bed and the other half to store his food. He hardly ever wee's in the bedding area, isn't he a clean little boy! His cage has three large floors, we call the top floor Hammy's penthouse and its where he spends alot of his time.
